"Serving the West Virginia counties of Calhoun, Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Tyler, Wirt and Wood."
The Medical Reserve Corps was officially launched as a national, community-based movement in July 2002. It was formed in response to President Bush's call for all Americans to offer volunteer service in their community.
The purpose of the MOVMRC is to strengthen our community by helping medical and public health volunteers offer their expertise during times of community need.
MRCs are a specialized component of the Citizen's Corps, a national network of volunteers dedicated to ensuring their families, homes and communities are safe from disasters of all kinds. To view the policy statement for The Mid Ohio Valley Medical Reserve Corps please click on the link.
