Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) are serious, sometimes painful illnesses that can cause damage to the human body. Sometimes you can have an STD with no sign or symptoms. Other times, the symptoms go away on their own. Either way, you still have the STD until you get treatment. If you think you might have an STD, call your local health department office to schedule testing and treatment. Click here for a listing of all of the offices’ numbers.
