“Serving the West Virginia counties of Calhoun, Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Tyler, Wirt and Wood.”
The Medical Reserve Corps was officially launched as a national, community-based movement in July 2002. It was formed in response to President Bush’s call for all Americans to offer volunteer service in their community.
The purpose of the MOVMRC is to strengthen our community by providing an avenue for medical and public health volunteers to offer their expertise during times of community need.
MRCs are a specialized component of the Citizen’s Corps, a national network of volunteers dedicated to ensuring their families, homes and communities are safe from disasters of all kinds. To view the policy statement for The Mid Ohio Valley Medical Reserve Corps, click here.
If you have medical skills, mental health skills or simply want to provide basic volunteer service, we are looking for a variety of volunteers to serve Public Health.
